Regent Seven Seas luxury cruises.ENRICHING ITINERARIES, DELUXE ONBOARD SERVICE AND STRONG VALUES HIGHLIGHT FALL EUROPE VOYAGES FROM REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES. From the Bay of Biscay to the Mediterranean and Greek Isles, Regent Seven Seas will offer the Continent’s best this fall.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, voted the “#1 Small-Ship Cruise Line” in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2007 Readers’ Choice Awards poll, will journey across the Continent this fall. 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager® and 490-guest, all-suite Seven Seas Navigator® will embark on a series of fall European voyages calling at ports across the Mediterranean, the Greek Isles, the Iberian Peninsula and the Adriatic Sea.

The fall European voyages will feature eye-opening visits to historic cities in England, France, Greece, Italy and Spain. Regent Seven Seas guests will have opportunities to explore the grand chateaux and vineyards of France, the alluring resorts of the Italian Riviera and even the ancient beauty and stunning architecture of Greece and Turkey, all at unparalleled values.

“Because Regent Seven Seas guests sailing in Europe pay once, in advance, for meals, transportation and entertainment, they are protected from steep exchange rates due to the euro’s all-time high against the U.S. dollar,” said Mark Conroy, president of Regent Seven Seas.
Although other cruise lines sailing in Europe offer similar values, added Conroy, particularly when compared with land-based travel, the all-inclusive policy aboard Regent Seven Seas ships offers additional savings. For example, Economy or Business Class air transportation, shipboard gratuities, select fine wines and liquor, and soft drinks are all included in the cruise fare.

Seven Seas Voyager and Seven Seas Navigator also feature the largest lead-in suites in the cruise industry, at 301 square feet, not including balcony. Each suite is equipped with a European king-size bed, luxury European linens and feather-down duvets, plush European robes and cotton slippers, plus a separate sitting area and ultra-spacious marble bath with separate shower and full bathtub. Suites also offer walk-in closets, luxurious bath products, interactive television on flat-screen TVs and a DVD/CD player. Regent Seven Seas boasts the highest percentage of private balconies in the industry, with 100% of suites on Seven Seas Voyager and 90% of suites on Seven Seas Navigator featuring this wonderful amenity.

From September 9 to November 11, Seven Seas Voyager will offer nine European departures ranging from seven to 11 nights, with itineraries that will take guests from Southampton, England, around the Iberian Peninsula and ports in Spain and Portugal, on to the Mediterranean, Greek Isles and Turkey.

REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES’ 2008 FOOD AND WINE CIRCLES OF INTEREST VOYAGES HIGHLIGHT OUTSTANDING GLOBAL CUISINE. Guests learn culinary secrets from Le Cordon Bleu® chefs, former White House executive chef Walter Scheib and California restaurateur Cindy Pawlcyn.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, voted the “#1 Small-Ship Cruise Line” in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2007 Readers’ Choice Awards poll, has scheduled nine Circles of Interest enrichment programs focusing on food and wine for 2008. Circles of Interest feature exclusive onboard and shore-side experiences delivered by world-class lecturers, instructors and authorities from the realms of art, cuisine, history, environmental conservation, photography and wellness.

Regent’s food and wine Circles of Interest will be offered aboard select winter, spring, summer and fall voyages of the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony ships Seven Seas Mariner® and Seven Seas Voyager® and the 490-guest, all-suite Seven Seas Navigator®. Accomplished chefs from the legendary French culinary institute Le Cordon Bleu will host "Classes Culinaires des Croiseres” programs on seven departures between January 16 and September 18. Walter Scheib, White House executive chef from 1994 to 2005, will share “Presidential Secrets under the Mediterranean Sun” during a cruise to Greece, Italy and Turkey departing June 6. Finally, Cindy Pawlcyn, chef and owner of Napa Valley hot spots Mustards Grill and Cindy’s Backyard, will host a “Mediterranean Food Odyssey” departing June 21.

Regent’s food and wine Circles of Interest provide rare opportunities to explore the culinary cultures of diverse regions. World-class chefs share unique insights into their cooking techniques, and also host cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, shore-side trips to local markets and informative discussion on the unique cuisines of the regions visited.

“Regent’s 2008 culinary Circles of Interest offer another outstanding example of our ability to provide guests with enriching experiences through personal discovery,” said Sophie Vlessing, RSSC’s vice president, customer strategy and marketing. “These enlightening journeys provide rare perspective from international experts, plus the added enjoyment of a core group of travelers sharing similar interests. RSSC’s food and wine-themed Circles of Interest will deliver truly memorable experiences throughout 2008.”

Regent’s 2008 schedule of food and wine Circles of Interest cruises includes:

Le Cordon Bleu “Classes Culinaires des Croiseres” – Launched in Paris in 1895, Le Cordon Bleu has been dedicated to preserving and passing on the mastery and appreciation of the culinary arts. Together with Regent, the school created "Classes Culinaires des Croiseres” - programs of no more than 20 guests combined with shore-side market visits. Regent and Le Cordon Bleu have also partnered to offer Signatures, the first and only permanent Le Cordon Bleu restaurants at sea, aboard Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager. Dates include: January 16 (Callao to Buenos Aires, Seven Seas Mariner); April 7 (roundtrip Fort Lauderdale, Seven Seas Mariner); April 30 (Fort Lauderdale to Horta, Azores, Seven Seas Voyager); May 27 (Vancouver, B.C. to Seward, Alaska, Seven Seas Mariner); June 9 (Monte Carlo to Dover, Seven Seas Voyager); September 9 (Southampton to Monte Carlo, Seven Seas Voyager) and September 18 (Seward, Alaska to Osaka, Seven Seas Mariner).

“Presidential Culinary Secrets under the Mediterranean Sun” featuring Walter Scheib – Chef Scheib served America’s first families for 11 years, conducting hundreds of state dinners. His tenure was highlighted by the creation of a distinctly American culinary repertoire at the White House. Chef Scheib will be joined by co-host Alan Tardi, former chef, current wine writer and winner of the 2007 James Beard Foundation Award for his book Romancing the Vine. Onboard activities include “Kitchen Table Chats” which demonstrate how Chef Scheib makes favorite presidential midnight snacks and popular items from state dinners. Chef Scheib will also host an exclusive luncheon at the Michelin-starred Torre del Saracino restaurant in Vico Equense. Departure date: June 7 (Piraeus, Greece to Monte Carlo, Seven Seas Navigator).

“Mediterranean Food Odyssey” featuring Cindy Pawlcyn – Chef Pawlcyn studied at Le Cordon Bleu and opened Mustards Grill after moving to California’s Napa Valley in 1980. Today she also operates Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen in Napa Valley. Pawlcyn has been inducted into Who’s Who in Cooking in America and is currently working on her third cookbook. Chef Pawlcyn’s co-host is wine authority Lyn Farmer, senior editor of The Wine News magazine and executive director of the Miami Wine and Food Festival. Onboard activities include a cooking demonstration of Mediterranean cuisine and a tasting of Italian and Corsican cheeses. Chef Pawlcyn will also host an exclusive dinner with Chef Vedet Basaran at his Feriye restaurant in Istanbul. Departure date: June 21 (Civitavecchia, Italy to Istanbul, Seven Seas Navigator).

NEW ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FROM REGENT SEVEN SEAS FOCUSES ON EXTRAORDINARY AUSTRALIAN FOOD AND WINE. Pre-cruise Circle of Interest marks latest evolution in the ultra-luxury cruiseline’s innovative programming.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, voted the world’s #1 small-ship operator by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, will offer food and wine connoisseurs a rare treat this fall: an incomparable journey through Australia’s vibrant wine region, featuring stays at luxurious boutique hotels, sumptuous meals paired with regional wines, and exclusive tastings at the region’s best vineyards. These activities and more will be available as part of “Australian Food and Wine Experience,” a six-night, pre-cruise Circles of Interest enrichment program being offered before a 13-night, Sydney-to-Auckland cruise aboard the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony ship Seven Seas Mariner® departing Nov. 19, 2008. This is the first Circle of Interest that features an extensive land program and marks the latest evolution in this innovative program from Regent.

Circles of Interest offer Regent guests exclusive onboard and shore-side experiences, featuring world-class lecturers, instructors and authorities from the realms of art, cuisine, history, conservation, photography and wellness. These sought-after journeys allow guests to discover destinations through the lens of a particular interest, and feature the insight and perspective of knowledgeable hosts, as well as the camaraderie of an intimate community sharing similar interests.

“This extraordinary Circles of Interest program will offer an unprecedented journey into the best of Australian cuisine and fine wines,” said Sophie Vlessing, vice president, marketing and guest strategy for Regent. “As with all of our Circles of Interest programs, this unique itinerary will provide our guests with opportunities to gain insight and fulfillment in this very special area of personal interest. ‘Australian Food and Wine Experience’ will provide Regent guests with truly memorable experiences.”

The six-night, pre-cruise Circles of Interest program, starting November 13, will offer participants a comprehensive journey into Australia’s vineyards, featuring insight from local experts who will lead exclusive tastings. Beginning in Melbourne, the tour proceeds to Yarra Valley and a two-night stay at the exclusive Chateau Yering. From this luxurious base, guests will have the opportunity to visit some of the most storied wineries of the area, including names such as De Bartoli, Yering Station, Green Point and Coldstream Hills. Guests then return to Melbourne for a special visit with author and chef Allan Campion, who will share some of his favorite “foodie” experiences in this beautiful city.

After a flight to Sydney, guests travel to the Hunter Valley for a two-night stay at Peppers Guest House with a special dinner at Rock restaurant. The group will be joined by husband and wife team Karina Barry (former chef of the Savoy Hotel in London) and Brian Barry (a wine educator with 25 years experience). They will lead the group in a private tasting at the Binnorie Cheese Factory followed by a hands-on cooking class using organic produce. Other highlights in the region include a dinner at Robert’s Restaurant, and a visit to some of the region’s best wineries led by winemaker Richard Everett. Wineries include such names as Lindemans, McWilliams, Rothbury, Hardy’s, Wyndham Estate, McGuigan and Hunter Resort. Guests then travel back to Sydney for a two-night stay at the Shangri-La Hotel.

From the hotel, guests will enjoy an escorted “gourmet walkabout” to the Sydney Fish Market and the gourmet food shops of Queen Street including Simon Johnson and “Jones the Grocer,” followed by a wine tasting with a local expert and a meal at award-winning Catalina’s restaurant, overlooking Sydney Harbour. A hands-on cooking class rounds off the first day’s activities. The final day in Sydney is spent on a tour of this beautiful city and its surroundings, followed by an exclusive lunch-cruise charter, offering a close-up view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The tour ends at the Sydney Cruise Terminal for embarkation on Seven Seas Mariner. The Food and Wine Circle of Interest will continue on board, where throughout the voyage participants will join their fellow Circle guests for wine tastings, an exclusive dinner, and more.

“Australian Food and Wine Experience” is available at a cost of $6,495* per person, exclusive of cruise fare.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises' 2008 - 2009 Land Programs Deliver Pre- and Post-Cruise Adventure.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises, voted the "#1 Small-Ship Cruise Line" in Condé Nast Traveler's 2007 Readers' Choice Awards poll, will offer enlightening and stimulating adventures ashore in combination with its 2008 and 2009 worldwide itineraries. Regent's exotic pre- and post-cruise land programs are highlighted by exciting and unusual transportation modes.

For example, travelers who enjoy riding the rails can go fast from Tokyo to Osaka aboard Japan's Shinkanse, or bullet train, or really fast aboard China's Magalev from Shanghai. Guests who prefer a more leisurely pace can cross Kent, England in a 19th century Victorian railway car, journey from Colombo to Kandy in Sri Lanka aboard the famous Viceroy railway, or take an Indian Pacific Railroad luxury sleeper from Adelaide to Perth. Airborne adventurers can drift 1,000 feet over historic Stockholm or soar above Kenya's Masai Mara national reserve in hot-air balloons. Helicopters provide the means to survey the breathtaking waterfalls of a Central American rainforest or Italy's stunning Amalfi coast.

Thinking of active pursuits? Guests on Regent shore excursions can catch a wave in Maui as they learn to ride the pipe on a surf board, travel by canoe across Helsinki's placid sounds, and deep-sea raft near the Arctic Circle from Honningsvåg. Need wheels? Vacationers can opt for an escorted tour through historic Berlin via Rolls-Royce, or rev a Harley-Davidson around sunny St. Maarten. Modern-day cowboys and cowgirls can steer their mounts across Kalmar, Sweden to the island of Oland, or gallop along a Tahitian beach in Huahine aboard a robust Marquesan steed. The four-legged options extend to the largest of land animals - guests can take rides on elephants from South Africa's Camp Jabulani.

These and other exotic shore excursions are offered in connection with Regent's 2008 and 2009 voyages aboard 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager®, 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Mariner® and 490-guest, all-suite Seven Seas Navigator®.

"Regent offers the most comprehensive and varied land programs in the industry from exotic train travel to intimate stays in European capitals," said Darius Mehta, Director of Land Programs. "We strive to lead the industry with innovation and variety."

Regent Seven Seas Cruises Destination Wedding program.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced a new program for guests as part of The Regent Travel Concierge: custom-tailored wedding planning services are now offered for Regent guests wishing to exchange their vows in select ports of call worldwide. This newly expanded service of The Regent Travel Concierge is made possible through a partnership with cruise destination wedding experts Royal Ocean Events.

“As destination weddings and vow renewal ceremonies continue to increase in popularity, we are delighted to offer Regent Seven Seas guests a new service to assist them in planning a truly one-of-a-kind wedding abroad,” said Darius Mehta, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ director of land programs and creator of The Regent Travel Concierge program.

Guests wishing to plan a wedding or vow renewal ceremony as part of a Regent cruise will be paired by The Regent Travel Concierge team with a personal consultant from Royal Ocean Events who can assist them in planning the wedding of their dreams. Although weddings planned by Royal Ocean Events typically include an officiant, marriage certificate, wedding cake and champagne, there is no pre-arranged menu of wedding packages for Regent guests; each guest will receive a personal consultation on unique ways they can celebrate their vows in one of many ports of call world-wide. From a sunset wedding along the banks of an uninhabited South Pacific island to a kilted ceremony in an ancient Scottish castle accompanied by a band of Highland bagpipers, to an intimate ceremony in the company of a hundred Antarctic penguins, the options are limitless.

“We are pleased to partner with Regent Seven Seas Cruises, to offer truly extraordinary wedding experiences,” said Chris Scurr, marketing director for Royal Ocean Events. “The sky won’t even be the limit – if a Regent guest wishes to get married in a hot air balloon over a tropical pineapple plantation, or take a helicopter to a glistening Alaskan glacier, we can do that.”

Based in Vancouver, Canada, the team of experts at Royal Ocean Events has planned thousands of cruise weddings in its 10-year history. The company’s wedding planners offers guests in-depth knowledge not only of romantic venues around the world, but how best to navigate the logistical elements of obtaining a marriage license in a foreign country.
